Operation:
The operation of the air filter restriction indicator is straightforward.

As the equipment runs, air is drawn through the filter to ensure that only clean air enters the engine. Over time, dust, dirt, and debris accumulate on the filter, causing a restriction in the airflow. This restriction is reflected as an increase in pressure on one side of the filter, which is detected by the indicator.

Visual Indication:
The indicator provides a visual signal to the operator, typically in the form of a needle on a dial or a color-coded display. When the air filter is clean and airflow is unrestricted, the needle or display remains in the green or normal range. As the filter becomes more clogged, the needle or display moves towards the red or danger zone, indicating that maintenance is required.

Maintenance Alert:
When the indicator reaches the red zone, it serves as a clear alert to the operator that the air filter needs attention. At this point, maintenance personnel should inspect and either clean or replace the air filter, restoring optimal airflow and preventing potential damage to the engine.
